2025-2026 APACC Student Staff
The Asian Pacific American Cultural Center (APACC) at CSU is now accepting applications for student staff members for the 2025-2026 academic year!
We are seeking to hire students who have a commitment to working with and providing advocacy for all student populations, identities, and experiences, with a focus on Asian American, Pacific Islander, Desi American (APIDA), and Southwest Asian, North African (SWANA) students. APIDA and SWANA identities includes people with backgrounds in the categories listed below:
- East Asian (e.g. Chinese, Japanese, Korean)
- Southeast Asian (e.g. Vietnamese, Thai, Hmong, Laotian)
- South Asian/Desi (e.g. Indian subcontinent)
- Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander (e.g. Filipinx, Polynesian, Micronesian)
- Southwest Asian, North African (SWANA), Middle Eastern, & Arab American
- Mixed Race, Transracial/Transnational Adoptees, Third Culture Kids
Requirements:
- Must have a 2.2 GPA and be in good academic and disciplinary standing.
- Must demonstrate strong communication skills, a positive attitude, willingness to learn, strong work ethic, and ability to work effectively individually and on a team.
- Must serve as a positive role model and representative of APACC and CSU.
- Must attend Fall staff training on the week of August 17th-21st, 2025 (all day including some late evening hours; please notify us of any conflicts as soon as you are aware of them), Ram Welcome Open House and APACC welcome activities on Friday August 22nd, 2025, and Spring training on Saturday, January 24, 2026. Failure to be available during training may result in an offer of employment being rescinded or employment termination.
- Ability to work around 7-10 hours per week including some possible early mornings (8am).
- Must provide front desk coverage when scheduled and represent APACC in resource fairs as well as in welcoming individuals and groups to the center.
- Must attend weekly staff meetings (to be determined based on class schedules).
- Pass criminal background check.

Potential Open Position Descriptions:
Community Development & Large Events Coordinator
- Outreach to student organizations that have a focus on APIDA & SWANA culture and share similar causes to APACC’s mission.
- Develop inclusive, supportive APIDA & SWANA community at CSU.
- Responsible for programming events to build understanding, community, and solidarity across ethnicities and cultures.
- Organize and lead a council of student organizations connected to APACC.
- Plan large-scale APACC events throughout the year, including Breakthrough Burnout, the APACC Community Welcome, the APACC Awards Ceremony, etc. All dates TBD.
- Create the front desk schedule each semester.
- Document events for annual report.
Southwest Asian and North African (SWANA) Coordinator
- Coordinate outreach to Southwest Asian and North African communities on campus.
- Develop programming for Southwest Asian and North African communities on campus.
- Assist with ongoing SWANA initiatives and partnerships, including CSU’s annual celebration of Ramadan Iftar.
- Document events for annual report.
