WORK STUDY Employment Opportunity at the Ramskeller Pub & Grub beginning early August 2025 and continuing throughout CSU's Fall Semester!

Ramskeller Pub & Grub is now accepting applications from CSU Work Study Awarded Students for this Fall Semester 2025. We are seeking current CSU students, to provide customer and food service to the campus community.

***A Work Study Award is NOW required to get an interview for the position.*** 

Ideal employees would have past experience with the following skills:

  • Taking orders and payment from guests (DP/VC)
  • Preparing Food: making pizzas, frying foods, and following recipes (TW)

*Any food service experience would be beneficial for a prospective employee.

  • Cleaning and Sanitization in a food service environment (CT/PS)
  • Ensuring Environmental Health and Safety Standards are followed (PA)

***Note that this is NOT an application for a position as a Ramskeller Bartender. Promotion to bartending shifts is a possibility, but only after food safety knowledge, reliability, and superior job performance has been demonstrated to management***

Job Responsibilities:

  • Be reliable/responsible for your own weekly shifts, and able to help cover coworkers shifts when available and needed (PA)
  • Customer service conducive personality i.e. friendly and helpful (VC)
  • Knowledge of safe food handling procedures i.e. proper hand washing, safe time/temperature controls for food storage, preparation, and service (PA)
  • Able to learn use of all equipment, including routine cleaning and maintenance (CT/PS)
  • Complete cleaning and sanitation of entire venue (front & back of house) especially dishes and food contact surfaces (PA)
  • Touch screen Point of Sale (Clover) taking orders, credit card payment, and online ordering on GrubHub Campus too (DP)
  • Assist Pub staff with busing and dish washing duties when necessary (T/W)
  • Ability to take direction from manager and student leadership team members (TW)
  • Constantly seek out tasks to perform/complete when on shift (PA)
  • Critical thinking about job responsibilities both stated and implied (CT/PS)
  • Available to work between 8 to 10 hours per week Monday - Friday, 10:00am-8:00pm and occasional weekends (I.e., CSU Home Football Games)
  • Approximate openings = 6 - 8 (depending on staff availability)
  • Hourly Pay Rate: All Ramskeller employees start at $14.81 per hour plus gratuities (Credit Card & Cash tip share)

  • Start Date: Approximate start date of August 4th, 2025
  • Background Check: Colorado State University will conduct background checks on all final candidates
