TILT Desk Coordinator
TILT DESK COORDINATOR
TILT is hiring new desk coordinator staff members for Fall 2025 and beyond. Desk coordinators cover the check-in desk in the TILT Building Great Hall and welcome students who attend tutoring. They serve as the first point of reference for questions and help keep the space running smoothly. The Great Hall is open from 4 – 8 pm on Sundays, 8:30 am – 8 pm Mondays – Thursdays, and 8:30 am – 4 pm on Fridays. Work hours are available around student’s schedules.
If your strengths include working with people in a friendly and helpful manner, being able to work independently, using creative problem-solving skills, and flexibility in supporting the team, then this is the job for you!
**Applicants must have a work-study award!**
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in students attending tutoring in the Great Hall.
- Prepare Great Hall ahead of tutoring hours, including wiping down tables, setting up signs, and helping move whiteboards.
- Clean up Great Hall at the end of tutoring hours, including wiping down tables and putting away signs and whiteboards.
- Perform tasks assigned by supervisor, Desk Staff Lead, or other TILT professional staff during your shift.
- Attend regular trainings throughout the semester.
- Commit to ensuring the Great Hall is an inclusive and welcoming environment.
- Be aware of CSU student resources and support students in connecting with these resources.
- Maintain professional contact with peers, all TILT Staff, and CSU faculty.
- Work an average of 8-10 hours a week.

A successful applicant will:
- Be able to maintain exceptional levels of customer service.
- Be able to show up on time for all regularly scheduled shifts and trainings.
- Be willing to pitch in and cover shifts if others can’t work their scheduled shifts.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Be able to complete work independently.
- Be an effective team player and be able to collaborate with peers.
- Have a commitment to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for our diverse student body.
- Be able to effectively manage their time.
- Be able to empathize with students who may be struggling academically and/or personally.
- Be awarded work-study
