AMVC Public Relations Internship

AMVC is a diversified swine management company who is looking to hire a public relations intern for the summer.

Throughout the summer the intern will complete projects while receiving guidance from our public relations coordinator. Internship is based in west central Iowa in Audubon. Intern will spend time on a sow farm in Audubon for a week, plus occasional visits to sow farms in different states to capture video and photographs.

Projects Include:
AMVC celebrates 25 years of managing hog farms: complete PR projects around the anniversary. #25YearsOfMakingBacon
Create a blog series of interviews of employees from across the business who have been with AMVC for more than 10 years. Capture why they chose to work for AMVC and what has changed throughout the years.
Write press releases for summer interns and summer sponsorship and donations.
Prepare PR campaign for National Pork Month and articles to prep to pitch to newspapers.
Social media content calendar for Facebook and Twitter
Event planning- picnic
Capture Intern Insights- content for website and social media
Core Value branding PR campaign system wide
Summer pork promo events and education

An ideal candidate is someone who is creative, can work independently, strong writer and communicator with proficient technical skills with experience in PR campaigns. We desire candidates who have a passion for communication and the agriculture industry. Production experience is not required, but preferred. Photography and video creation skills are beneficial.
