Job Title: Events Intern
Position Timeframe: Through Spring Semester. You must be eligible for work study.
Position Type: Non-Exempt Part-Time (10-15 hours per week)
Salary Range: $19 hourly (paid in two installments: the first paid halfway through internship, the second upon completion)

Scope of Position

United Way of Larimer County is on the lookout for an energetic Events Intern to be the driving force behind our fundraising and community engagement events. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in Event Planning: Support the Events Manager in developing and implementing event plans, including logistical arrangements, scheduling, and coordination with vendors and participants.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance in tasks such as drafting event correspondence, maintaining event databases, and preparing event materials.
- On-site Support: Assist in the setup, execution, and breakdown of events, ensuring smooth operations and excellent participant experiences.
- Community Outreach and Engagement: Actively participate in community outreach efforts, including promoting events, engaging with participants, and cultivating relationships with partners.
- Assist in Marketing Initiatives: Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials, social media content, and other communications to raise awareness and attendance for events.
- Post-Event Evaluation: Aid in post-event evaluations and analysis, including gathering feedback from participants, assessing event success, and identifying areas for improvement.
Qualifications
1. Currently enrolled in a college degree program at Colorado State University
2. Eligible for work study
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a college degree program in a relevant field such as event management, hospitality, marketing, or communications
- Previous internship or relevant work experience is a plus.
- Genuine passion for the non-profit sector and alignment with the organization's mission, values and commitment to equity.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment, collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is expected.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Enthusiastic about learning and contributing to emerging and best Event practices.
