What You’ll Do
The Embedded Systems Engineering Intern supports the development, testing, and troubleshooting of embedded firmware and hardware systems used in Grace Technologies products. This role works closely with embedded, software, and hardware engineers to gain hands-on experience with real embedded systems in a technology-driven product environment. This internship is designed for students who want practical experience in embedded firmware, hardware bring-up, and system-level debugging.
- Assist with embedded firmware development in C
- Help test and debug firmware and software-hardware integration
- Support prototype hardware bring-up and troubleshooting using lab equipment
- Participate in bench testing, functional testing, and integration testing
- Assist with internal tools or fixtures that support embedded product development
- Participate in code reviews and learn best practices for embedded software quality
What You’ll Bring
- Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
- Basic experience with C or embedded programming
- Interest in embedded systems, firmware, and hardware-software integration
- Exposure to serial communication protocols (SPI, I2C, RS485, etc.)
- Familiarity with version control tools (Git or similar)
- Comfort using basic lab equipment (multimeter, power supply, oscilloscope, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced engineering environment
