Irregular Hours is looking for a Community Specialist (preferably in the NY area) with a growth mindset. The ideal candidate will use initiative, create brand awareness in new ways, and have experience in community management, especially for online communities and college campuses.
As a skilled and affable communicator, you’ll be responsible for facilitating programming on your campus and ensuring community engagement. You’ll actively listen and address community members’ needs with Irregular Hours learning tools and products. The Community Specialist will play a critical role in enhancing Irregular Hours brand presence and contributing tangibly to our growth objectives.
This is not a typical “ambassadorship”. In the spirit of Irregular Hours' commitment to empowering the next generation of work, our Campus Representative program aims to give students ownership and agency. Job Overview
Duration: 6-week sprint (with the opportunity to stay on through May and the summer)
Start Date: March 16, 2026 [flexible]
End Date: April 27, 2026
Hours: 10hrs a week [approx.]
Compensation: $250 weekly stipend plus a performance-based bonus
How you’ll make an impact on US:
- Work alongside the Director of Community on cultivating and building community in your campus.
- Develop and support initiatives around new member engagement such as: our Story of Me Workshops, Cheat Sheet tool, content pieces, events, and more.
- Help scale community onboarding efforts and grow the user base.
- Share reports of learning and lessons with the team to shape the future of Irregular Hours.
