            Development Coordinator, New York City, NY

Become a force for nature and a healthy planet by joining The Nature Conservancy in New York. The Development Coordinator is a member of the New York Philanthropy Team. This position will provide administrative support to other busy and high-performing Philanthropy team members raising major and principal gifts for local, national, and global priorities.

 

The Development Coordinator will draft correspondence, assist with event planning and management, coordinate meeting details, and produce reports using specialized software, and conduct donor research. This position will work closely with out-the-door fundraisers and NY philanthropy leadership to raise $300M by 2020 in support of the organization market advance the Conservancy interfaces with all facets of the NYC Philanthropy Team, including donors and trustees, the Executive Director, conservation and finance professionals, and other key advisors.

 

We are looking for a detail-oriented team player and innovated problem solver with excellent communications skills and experience managing the multiple projects under deadline.

 

The ideal candidate will have a background and track record that includes:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year of experience.

  • Experience in business writing, editing, and proofreading.

  • Experience managing diverse activities to meet deadlines.

  • Experience working and communicating with a wide range of people.

   Experience working with databases and with social medial platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

           Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience appreciated.

  • Experience, coursework, or other training in fundraising principles and practices.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to analyze information for the purpose of preparing reports, coordinating efforts, and solving problems.
