Job Summary: As a Junior Oracle Cloud Engineer / OCI Administrator, you will support the design, deployment, and maintenance of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments. This entry-level role is ideal for recent college graduates who are eager to learn and grow in cloud engineering, database management, and enterprise IT operations.
You will work alongside experienced engineers and analysts to gain hands-on experience with OCI components, database optimization, and cloud architecture. Training and mentorship will be provided to help you build technical expertise and contribute meaningfully to client projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in configuring and maintaining OCI compute, storage, and network resources under guidance.
- Support the setup of OCI tenancy, compartments, and domains.
- Participate in system upgrades, patching, and migration activities.
- Learn and apply best practices for database optimization, including indexing and query tuning.
- Help troubleshoot performance issues and contribute to incident resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application deployment and cloud performance.
- Contribute to documentation and knowledge-sharing within Oracle Cloud communities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts and Oracle technologies (through coursework or internships).
- Familiarity with SQL, REST APIs, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to travel and work in dynamic client environments.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
- Exposure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of XML, JSON, SOAP, and REST.
- Awareness of tools like Terraform, Azure DevOps, or Kubernetes.
- Experience with academic or personal projects involving cloud deployment or database management.
- Oracle Cloud certifications (even in progress) are a strong plus.
