R2026104316 OOCL Residential Leadership Programs Summer Intern- INTERNAL PROMOTION

Position Summary:

The RLP Summer Intern is an on-campus or off-campus/remote summer internship position, typically held by the RHA and NRHH President-Elects. The positions allow for Presidents to begin the work of leading their organizations in the upcoming year including

  • Vision setting
  • Document review
  • Calendar creation, and more

This work also allows the interns to continue to develop leadership competencies to facilitate a smoother transition for their respective organizations into the new academic year. In addition, the RLP Summer Interns assist with planning the RLP Ram Welcome events and training for the rest of the RLP Cabinet.

Required Job Qualifications:

Students must have been elected to the National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) and Residence Hall Association President positions for the upcoming academic year. May be another incoming elected cabinet member if President-Elects are not able to serve in the role.

 

Essential Duties:

1. Begin presidential duties for RHA/NRHH, as listed in their respective constitutions and bylaws such as vision-setting, program mapping, creating a draft calendar for the Fall semester/year, setting organization goals and expectations, etc.

2. Assist with planning training sessions for the rest of RLP Cabinet for Fall training

3. Review governing documents and making recommendations for needed changes based on comparison to peer and/or regional institutions; Review the RLP website to ensure accuracy and update information as needed for the upcoming year

4. Assist with required documentation and paperwork for annual NACURH affiliation

5. Assist in planning Ram Welcome RLP eventsPosition Summary:
