Position Summary

The Economics Student Researcher will contribute to Prof. Mo Alloush's research program by harmonizing data from many different sources and conducting preliminary analysis on the conditions of children around the world, with a focus on less-developed countries and a comparison on children living in inter-generational households.

Required Job Qualifications

Graduate student in economics or related field

Ability to work independently in areas of economics research

Experience with statistical programs such as Stata or R and causal inference methods

 

Preferred Job Qualifications

Completed a causal inference class at the graduate level with training in Stata

 

Essential Duties

Harmonizing child-level data from many different sources including MICS

Using appropriate econometric tools to conduct analysis on socio-economic status and the early-childhood circumstances

Write a literature review on the topic that will allow Prof. Alloush to further his research program in this area
