Position Summary

This position is responsible for assisting with data collection and analysis for a variety of projects. The successful applicant will participate in animal handling and husbandry, tissue collection, laboratory work, data entry, reference formatting, editing, and other duties as assigned.  Livestock and/or equipment operation experience not necessary.  An open mind, an ability to follow directions, self-discipline, and a willingness to learn can qualify you for this position.

Essential Duties

  • Data entry
  • Ordering supplies
  • Laboratory analysis (proximate, lipid, protein, cell culture)
  • Tissue sample collection from animals
  • Tissue sample processing
  • Cannulated steer husbandry
  • In vivo and in vitro digestibility experiments
  • Labortory maintenance

Hourly Rate $20/h
