Background and Role:
3×3 is seeking part-time Field Team Associates to facilitate field research and engagement. As a Field Team Associate, you will join a team of fellow engagement and research specialists to conduct the following responsibilities on-site in communities throughout New York City under the supervision and guidance of a 3×3 Team Lead. You will also actively participate in monthly check-ins at 3×3’s Downtown Brooklyn Office to share progress updates, issues encountered in the field, and key insights to help shape programmatic operations. These meetings will also provide an opportunity for the project team to provide additional training and support to the Field Team Associates as needed.
Key responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to:
- Participate in onboarding and training sessions, including specific training related to data gathering, event content and execution, and safety training;
- Reliably and consistently assist with the timely production of community events, including setting up, managing, and breaking down community events across the five boroughs of New York City;
- Accurately producing data, including data collection and entry, and completing field logs associated with events as needed;
- Engaging event participants and visitors and sharing pertinent information to advance educational goals and other project-related information;
- Logging field data collection blocks, including ensuring the comprehensive recording of applicable data collected from events;
- Ensuring the quality of materials collected at events and following appropriate safety procedures;
- Communicating and collaborating effectively with other field team associates and supervising project team members; and
- Participating in synthesis activities to distill critical insights and inform the improvement of the program design.
Field Team Associates will be scheduled and compensated for approximately one to three shifts per week, each ranging from 3-5 hours. The position is compensated at $22 per hour, and scheduling flexibility is preferred. The shifts will be scheduled on both weekdays and weekends. Field Team Associates will be required to travel to parks and different neighborhoods throughout New York City, as well as various operational sites, to conduct events and other engagement activities successfully. For this round of applications, we’re giving preference to candidates who can easily travel to Brooklyn.
