Position Summary

Seeking an organized, detail-oriented undergraduate student employee with strong analytical and communication skills to support the development, maintenance, and improvement of internal systems, documentation, and workflows for the Office of the President. 

May work between 12-15 hours per week 

Must be willing to work during fall and spring semesters

Required Job Qualifications

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 

Clear written and verbal communication skills 

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines 

Discretion and ability to handle sensitive information 

 

Preferred Job Qualifications

Experience working with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint/OneDrive)

Experience with databases, spreadsheets, Airtable, or similar data management tools

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Ability to identify patterns, inconsistencies, and opportunities for process improvement

Ability to work independently and take initiative

 

Essential Duties

Maintain a strict level of confidentiality in all interactions

Communicate effectively with members of the Office of the President and campus partners to accomplish shared goals and complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner

Assist with the maintenance, organization, and quality control of databases and information systems

Support data entry, validation, cleanup, and ongoing record management activities

Help develop and document processes, workflows, and system standards to improve consistency and efficiency

Assist with reporting, data analysis, and the preparation of summaries for internal use

Identify and resolve data discrepancies and help ensure the accuracy and integrity of information across systems

Support the implementation and testing of new tools, automations, and workflow improvements

Contribute to ongoing projects and help ensure deliverables are completed on time

Attend regular team meetings and provide updates on assigned work

Identify opportunities to improve organization, efficiency, and workflows

Other duties as assigned

Student employees in the Office of the President gain a behind-the-scenes view of how a major public university operates. Working directly with the President's Office, students support high-impact projects, attend campus and community events, and engage with leaders from across the university and beyond.
