Wildlife Property Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Assist the Property Technician in Walden with the daily maintenance and improvement of State Wildlife Areas in North Park. Primary duties will include: noxious weed control, facility maintenance, fence repair and construction, mandatory big game checks, and Chronic Wasting Disease sampling. Regular duties will also include: operating and maintaining vehicles, trailers, weed spraying equipment, ATV’s, power tools, and chainsaws; handling animal carcasses; data recording and record keeping; using a GPS; as well as interacting with and answering questions from hunters and anglers. This position will also occasionally assist District Wildlife Managers, Biologists, and other Property Technicians with related tasks. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Valid driver’s license, trailer towing experience, ability to hike long distances with a pack, heavy lifting, a good attitude, and enthusiasm for the outdoors.
