Benefits Coordinator

Cardno is seeking a Benefits & HR Coordinator in our Lone Tree, Colorado office. The Benefits and HR Coordinator is responsible for the administration of employee benefits at Cardno in the Americas Region. As a member of the Compensation and Benefits team, this position is accountable for performing the day-to-day and periodic administrative functions for Company's programs, including health and welfare plans and systems, wellness programs, employee leaves of absence administration (in a team setting), compensation programs and HR administration. This position will interact often with other Human Resources areas to ensure coordination between intermingling systems and processes.

 Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 > Provide guidance to Company's multi-state (and multi-business unit) employees
 > HR Administration such as assisting with the onboarding process of new employees
 > In conjunction with the leave of absence team, serve as the administrator for the leave of absence process including filing disability claims, following up with employees and HR Business Partners and tracking down documentation from physicians.
 > Act as a liaison between benefit vendors and employees, and advise employees on eligibility, coverage, and other benefits matters
 > Compiles and maintains benefits records and documents, audits systems and processes, and prepares and remits benefit and retirement plan uploads
 > Actively monitoring benefit database integrity, ensuring invoice accuracy, reconciling account discrepancies, and submitting timely payment requests on a regular and systematic basis
 > This position will maintain and serve with specialized knowledge in working with Company's third-party benefit administrators in gaining competency in utilizing their web-based systems
 > Assist with compensation related projects such as the annual merit process and short-term incentive process. This individual will may also assist the Compensation and Benefits Manager with any ad hoc compensation related projects.
 
Requirements Basic Qualifications:

 > Bachelor's Degree
 > Must have 2-4 years of Benefits and Human Resources administration experience
 > Must have a strong background in the use of technology to create process efficiencies in handling high volumes of information
 > Proven experience handling the employee leave of absence process, including the processing of disability claims
 > Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency is required
 > Previous experience with Workday strongly desired, but not required for consideration
