Xcel Energy has an exciting opportunity for a Business and Marketing Intern to join our Marketing Department at our downtown Denver office in Denver, CO. This position will be part-time, in which a person will work around 20 hours per week. The hours and days of this position are flexible.
 

Summary

The purpose of this internship is to provide the student with a broad look at the communications needs of a major corporation and opportunities to support staff with writing for publications, coordinating projects and assisting in the planning and implementation of special events.

This internship will assist Residential and Low Income Energy Efficiency Product and Channel Managers, and help support 16 electric and natural gas energy efficiency programs. Responsibilities will include creating and revising program literature as well as electronic content and tools, invoice processing and expense tracking, identifying and resolving process issues, and other special projects and tasks to be assigned.
 

Required Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related
• Preferred candidates will currently be in their Junior or Senior year
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work on a project team
• Strong skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
