Phipps is seeking a full-time Sustainable Landcare Program Coordinator to oversee all aspects of the Sustainable Landcare Accreditation Program. The Coordinator will work with landscapers, ground crews, nurseries, partner organizations, and the general public to greatly reduce the use of pesticides and hep grow both the supply and demand for sustainable plants and ecologically appropriate landscape services, increasing the use of native plants and rain gardens. Responsibilities will include developing and providing resources and training to accredited professionals; coordinating our Dr. Phipps program and outreach strategies to place an emphasis on Sustainable Landcare; and working with Horticulture to coordinate our Top Ten Sustainable Program, helping to increase knowledge of a diverse and ecologically appropriate plant palette for our region. 
 
A bachelor’s degree in horticulture, landscape design, or a related field is required, with at least 3 years of experience with hands-on landscaping or nursery work. Experience working in outreach, community education, or other relevant areas is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a willingness to interact graciously with the general public are required. Evening and weekend work may be required.
