Temporary IT Help Desk Support

Key Responsibilities:  
  • Install, setup, and maintain ISDA computer hardware and software products.
  • Configure and monitor personal computers and network equipment so they meet ISDA standards.
  • Install client applications using in-house and purchased software and utilities.
  • Design, implement and support network backup procedures for workstations. Help maintain the backup system for the servers.
  • Install infrastructure equipment including cabling plants, communication backbone equipment, peripheral, and telecommunication hardware and software.
  • Identify, evaluate, and correct hardware, software, and operations problems.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, and telecommunication system performance and resolve any bottlenecks or problems. This includes the system setup and the training of users how to use RSA keys to access the ISDA network from remote locations.
  • Perform LAN, WAN, and telecommunication administration functions. Including updating and maintaining the Exchange email service and Active Directory.
  • Provide smartphone and tablet support to enable remote users to access the ISDA network and its resources. Assign users to RSA keys and support them.
  • Maintain the network wiring patch panels in the phone room and the corresponding wall and floor receptacles.
  • Stay informed about the latest changes in information systems hardware and software in order to provide recommendations to customers on the best purchasing options. Stay up with technology and current trends through self-study and outside training.
  • Provide computer related training to local and field staff as requested.
  • Maintain and support all aspects of the ISDA telecommunications system. This includes setting up and maintaining the software and hardware that controls the phone switch and voice mail system, doing wiring and setting up new phones as needed and maintaining the phone wiring patch panels in the phone room and the corresponding wall and floor receptacles. 
Minimum Qualifications: These qualifications are mandatory requirements
  • Experience independently installing, upgrading, and maintaining computer networks including server/host hardware and software and network cabling. 
  • Experience independently evaluating and defining customer/system needs and recommending and implementing new IT solutions. 
  • Experience independently evaluating and resolving computer, system, and user problems including compatibility conflicts, application operations, hardware malfunctions, and telecommunications problems.  
  • Experience recommending the installation and use of applications and system software.
