Wildlife Assistant Staff Biologist


Play a key role in the management of game and furbearer species in Oregon and put your coordination skills to work!
Collect, compile and analyze data from big game inventories conducted in 10 Watershed Districts. Compile and produce annual harvest and effort data summaries and Big Game Statistics. Compile and analyze furbearer harvest data collected by Districts and reported by furtakers. Coordinate production of the Travel Management Area (TMA) and Wildlife Management Unit maps with GIS staff. Coordinate Mandatory Reporting hunter harvest surveys and assist with Game Program permits and Cervid Licenses.

Qualifications: Requires two years of biological experience with one year of at least two of the following: gathering data, analyzing data, or preparing reports; and a Bachelor's degree in Fisheries or Wildlife Science or a closely-related Bachelor's degree or three additional years of biological experience. A Master’s or Doctorate degree will substitute for some experience.
