Entertainment Team (Part-Time - San Diego)

JOB SUMMARY:

The Entertainment Team Member is primarily responsible for performing any duties pertaining to ballpark entertainment including the pre-game ceremony, in-game promotions, and production-oriented events hosted at Petco Park. Entertainment Team Members will also work alongside the Padres Mascot Team & Pad Squad to attend community events.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist with the production of the Padres in-ballpark pre-game show, including check-in and escorting of guests, and field placement of people and props
  • Coordinate and execute in-game promotions as assigned
  • Execute live stage/production duties at Padres home games and Petco Park events
  • Execute any non-gameday production-oriented events at Petco Park
  • Coordinate Pad Squad in scheduled and spontaneous ballpark visits
  • Attend community events, supporting Pad Squad, to gain positive exposure for the Padres, including but not limited to: fairs, festivals, and non-profit functions
  • Produce in-game and community content to be used on social media
  • Serve as a Padres ambassador at Petco Park and in the community
  • Represents the San Diego Padres in a pleasant, enthusiastic, and professional manner, acting as the front-line ambassador on the club’s behalf
  • Keeps up with the team’s performance on the field and current club news
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must meet the following minimum requirements
  • Availability to work during 75% of Padres home games and other community & special events as needed, including weekends, some midweek day games, and holidays
  • Strong organizational skills, and ability to help direct co-workers in tasks
  • Individuals with outstanding communication skills and a positive, energetic personality. 
  • Spanish bilingual preferred
  • Previous experience in marketing, sales or customer service
  • Demonstrate an ability to perform and speak on camera, and in front of large audiences 
  • Ability to stand and walk and/or run for extended periods of time
  • Consistent, punctual and regular attendance
  • Professional image and demeanor
  • Strong ability to work well with co-workers and supervisors in a team environment
  • As a condition of employment, the job candidate(s) must successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment background check and drug screening
