Intern - Plant Sciences

We currently have a research agronomy internship available within our Plant Sciences department in Boise, ID.
What’s in it for you?
These positions will support the potato agronomy research program and their endeavors in R&D at Simplot Plant Sciences. The position is a full-time 6-month internship.
What you will do:
· Operating a washing/grading line
· Supporting the Biotech Quality Management Systems (BQMS) and compliance paperwork
· Storage monitoring and sampling
· Storage reports
· Data entry, analysis, and summarization
· Special Projects as assigned
What you already have:
· Familiarity with storage equipment and sensors
· Ability to drive a forklift or be trained
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Strong computer skills (Word and Excel)
· Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
· Clean driving record
· Farming background preferred
Current student enrolled in an accredited college/university
Undergraduate student with research experience or Graduate student preferred
Agricultural degree seeking students preferred
Availability: Minimum of 6 months, starting in January 2019 (Other time frames will be considered as appropriate)
