Children, Youth & Family Services Practice & Policy Analyst

Ensures delivery of impeccable practice and policy management of the Children, Youth & Family Services (CYFS) Division of the Department of Human Services (DHS). Responsible for CYFS practice and policy review, consolidation, and documentation. Develops and upholds practice and policy in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Responsible for CYFS practice and policy analysis, development, consolidation, documentation, and tracking to include Administrative Review Division (ARD) findings and Differential Response (DR) implementation indicators.
  • Compiles, organizes, and maintains County-designed practice topics and State and federally issued Informational Memos for practice and policy review, as well as discussions with stakeholders.
  • Creates and develops practice and policy recommendations for Division Director's initial review and approval.
  • Leads practice and policy development in collaboration with CYFS leadership and personnel. Oversees and ensures compliance with practice and policy implementation. Responsible for updating and maintaining the CYFS practice and policy database.
  • Identifies and communicates deadlines to relevant stakeholders within DHS regarding practice and policy implementation and potential changes. Creates, communicates, and delivers action plans based upon practice and policy review.
  • Identifies and communicates areas in need of training curriculum to Staff Development.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert to CYFS personnel regarding practice and policy; supports personnel with resources and technical assistance as needed.
  • Works closely with appropriate personnel to evaluate the quality of practice audits; assists in creating action plans to address audit deficits.
  • Participates in agency meetings to include personnel, leadership, and executives. 
  • Represents CYFS at various meetings to include State, other agencies, and community.
  • Performs others duties as required.
