Adult Education Support: Dominican Volunteer

Dominican Volunteers help adults break the cycle of poverty and oppression through access to higher education. Through our program based out of Houston, (Capital IDEA Houston), volunteers help adults get the support they need to succeed in completing a higher degree and/or be trained in a living-wage profession. Being a Dominican Volunteer is a life-changing experience that is challenging and deeply rewarding; DVs make significant and lasting impacts where they serve.

All living expenses covered (room & board, food, transportation, health insurance, etc.) and monthly stipend provided. Dominican Volunteers live in diverse, intergenerational, intentional communities with peers and Dominican Sisters and live out the four pillars of Ministry, Community, Prayer & Study.

Requirements to Be a Dominican Volunteer:
Must be 21 years of age and have completed 2 years of college. Dedication, flexibility, openness to diversity in all forms, spiritual curiosity and deep compassion. *Students with DACA are very welcome! Please call with any questions.
