Permit Specialist – Engineering Specialist 2
Highway Division – Region 1
Clackamas
 
Compensation: $3,346 to 4,945 per month with outstanding benefits!
 
We are excited to announce our recruitment for a permit specialist in Region 1. In this role, you will assist with utility, road approach and other permits on a district-wide basis by investigating applications, preparing permits and monitoring and inspecting permitted projects through their lifecycle. Your work will result in greater safety for road users, reduced maintenance costs and preservation of highway capacity.

Additional Details:
This is a limited duration appointment that is expected to end on or before February 1, 2021. Limited duration appointments are benefits eligible and have a designated maximum length of service. This position has the potential to become permanent.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • An associate's degree in engineering technology from a community college or technical school of engineering and two years of experience directly related to engineering OR
  • Three and one-half years (42 months) of sub-professional engineering experience. OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.*
  • Note: If you are currently a transportation maintenance specialist 2 (TMS2) or have been one in the past, in addition to your completed application, attach section 3 of your TMS2 position description to receive full credit for your related work. If your experience includes work in multiple maintenance disciplines (e.g. highway, sign, bridge, striping or landscape), attach section 3 of the position description for each of the relevant disciplines.
*Can qualify with bachelor's degree in engineering technology and six months of experience directly related to engineering!
