Summer Camp Volleyball Counselor
Camp Danbee is a premier sleepaway camp for girls. It is located in the Berkshire Mountains of Western Massachusetts only 2 1/2 hours from NYC and Boston.
It is a Girl's World at Danbee. We strive to prepare girls to "take on the world" through passion and perseverance. Danbee empowers campers to set and achieve goals. Everything we do at camp is designed to motivate and encourage each girl to be her best self. Danbee programming allows girls to build life-skills that they will utilize the rest of their lives. Strong, resilient women are what Danbee works to nurture. And from all reports - we do!!!
All of the counsellors at Danbee work in a dual role - both as a bunk counsellor living in a bunk with kids, and as a specialty counsellor teaching in a specific program area. We hire over 150 Staff members that are highly talented, skilled, and experienced from across the United States and all around the world.
Working at camp is an opportunity to develop skills that can be used in a career outside of camp. You will enhance your leadership, collaboration, problem-solving and communication skills. Camp Danbee has a large leadership team to learn from, from multiple college Head Coaches to experienced professionals across the education, outdoor recreation and sports industries.
We are currently recruiting female volleyball coaches . You will specialize in this activity, so you must have extensive knowledge of the sport.
You will serve a dual role as a counsellor at Camp Danbee. Those roles include being cabin counsellor and program instructor. As a cabin counsellor, you and one to three other co-counsellors will live in a cabin with 10-12 campers, whom you will supervise for the summer. As a program instructor, you will help prepare and lead instructional lessons in your dedicated program area.
We will work with your college/university to earn paid internship credits.
