Job Overview
The Purpose of this position is to directly interact with our membership to ensure they have a perfect experience when dining at the club. Dining Room Servers are responsible for Member and Guest satisfaction thru prompt, accurate, and friendly interaction. Servers are responsible for memorizing Member’s names and becoming familiar with their specific needs.
General Responsibilities
· Following Opening, Mid-shift, Closing, Cleaning and Stock Lists and filling out these sheets daily
· Knowledge of all Regular Menu and Dining Features
· Knowledge of all Liquor, Wine, Beer, and Beverage Products
· Accuracy in the taking of Beverage and Food orders and prompt input of all orders into the POS system
· Constant maintenance of tables in the Dining Room area including clearing of plates and refilling of beverages
· Up selling of appetizers, desserts and drink features
· Verifying all receipts and presenting completed receipts to the Member for signature
· Filling in for absent staff as needed
· Assisting with special event set-up, service and take down as needed
· Greeting all Members and Guests warmly with an appropriate greeting and smile
· Adhere to grooming and uniform standards consistently
· Knowledge of all upcoming events within all areas of the club and promotion of those events
Job Qualifications
Education:
· High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience:
· Previous serving experience required. Country Club experience preferred
· Excellent oral communication skills required
· Positive interpersonal skills required
· Must speak English fluently and be able to write in basic English
Physical Requirements
· Walking and/or standing for the length of shift
· Frequently lifts/carries 25 pounds
· Occasionally lifts/carries 50 pounds
· Continual use of fine manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills
· Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly
Working Conditions
· Maybe indoor or outdoor setting depending on service area
· Varied weather conditions are expected
· Will work near mechanical equipment and hot surfaces
· Will work with aerosol and other cleaning chemicals
· Varied schedule to include evenings, holidays and extended hours as business dictates
