Administrative Services Manager - Library

The City of Fort Worth Library Department is seeking an Administrative Services Manager to lead the department’s human resource, budgetary and fiscal operations.
Must include a cover letter and resume
 
Administrative Services Manager job duties include:
  • Supervise/train staff and conducts evaluations 
  • Participates in the development, analysis, formulation and administration of the department budget
  • Assists in administering assigned contracts and requests for proposals or contracts with service providers and vendors
  • Manages and coordinates human resource functions for the department
  • Oversees purchasing/procurement functions for the department.
  • Produces executive reporting for the department’s senior management team
  • Performs other duties as assigned
 
Minimum requirements include:
  • Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university with course work in Business Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources or related field. Applicants that have a significant amount of experience related to the position, can still be considered if they do not meet the education requirement . 
  • Two years of increasingly responsible and complex administrative, fiscal, personnel and management experience,including one year in a supervisory capacity.
 
To be successful, the person in this position should demonstrate:
  • Knowledge/experience of advanced principles of budget preparation, trend analysis, forecasting and control
  • Knowledge/experience of business administration principles
  • Knowledge/experience managing staff for multiple disciplines
