Forest Service Hiring Entry-level Natural Resources Positions as Part of 2019 Society of American Foresters Convention

Positions for Current Students (undergraduates and graduates)/Recent Graduates:
·      Forester
·      Forestry Technician
·      Natural Resources Specialist
The Forest Service is searching for eager individuals who will uphold the Forest Service mission to care for the land and serve the people. The Pathways Internship program offers paid career development opportunities to students enrolled in qualifying educational programs or institutions. The Pathways Recent Graduate program is tailored toward those who have received a qualifying degree or certificate from an institution of higher education within the previous two years. Veterans whose military service obligations prevent them from applying within this period have up to six years to apply. Interns and recent graduates receive on-the-job training and mentorship. Upon successful completion of the program, student interns and recent graduates may be converted to a permanent position.
Pathways Student Intern Qualification Information
·      Must be a US Citizen or be able to obtain citizenship prior to graduation
·      Pathways Interns must currently attend an institution of higher education pursuing a qualifying degree or certificate
·      Must be in good academic standing
Recent Graduates Qualification Information
·      Must be a US Citizen
·      Recent graduates who have completed, within the previous two years a qualifying associates, bachelors, masters, professional, doctorate, vocational or technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution. Veterans whose military service obligations prevent them from applying within this period have up to six years to apply.
