Brief Description of Team
Our Enterprise Data and Analytics team is responsible for the governance, stewardship, unification and analysis of data. We work closely with organizational areas within the organization to provide data solutions that deliver faster and cost-saving processes. This includes creating and automating data pipelines, designing dashboards to derive KPIs and metrics, and maintain continuous platform support while ensuring regulatory compliance. Our goal is to empower our users and provide the capability to make better data-driven decisions.       
                                               
Brief Description of Intern Project
The Data & Analytics Intern will develop User Stories and Business Requirements to support the development of our software application. As part of the internship, the intern will work with product stakeholders and subject matter experts to elicit accurate information for use in the Business Requirement Documents. We are seeking someone with previous exposure to the business workplace setting (such as Marketing, Human Resources or Revenue Management) and that is comfortable with SQL.

We have another opening in our Data/ETL Engineering team which seeks someone enthusiastic to learn and enhance their Java and SQL knowledge, as well as the optional building of ETL pipelines. This team member will be actively participating in building data objects that will be utilized by business teams to drive business initiatives and working closely with experienced team members. The intern will support the focus on developing ETLs with high accuracy in Microsoft big data Azure environment with HDIS and data bricks with spark distribution. 

Our Business Intelligence team is seeking another intern with Tableau or Power BI knowledge and SQL experience. This team member will be helping with designing business dashboards and present them to business groups. The intern will be working closely with internal teams and stakeholders to collect business requirements and feedback to enhance dashboards.

What we are looking for when recruiting Interns?
  • Currently enrolled in a 4-year Bachelor or Graduate Data Analytics or Business related degree program
  • GPA of 3.2 or higher preferred
  • Must have authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis
  • Must be able to be employed from May 26th to August 7th on a full-time basis
  • Self-driven and motivated
  • Exceptional communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Emulates pride, passion and commitment for their job and conveys excitement and enthusiasm for RCL.
  • Excited to collaborate and eager to learn from others
  • Proven leadership ability, either in a student organization, project, and/or outside the classroom
  • Demonstrates a passion for service and commitment to continuous improvement
