Software Engineer/Analyst

Edgewater is seeking qualified candidates for a Software Engineer/Analyst opportunity for our customer in Richland, WA to support the Hanford Site Tank Farms.

Title: Software Engineer/Analyst

Work Location/Potential Access
Primary work location will be located 2620 Fermi, Richland, WA 99353. Building access will need to be obtained.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Scope of work may include:
·       Provide software engineering and analyst support for Plant Installed software. Elicit requirements from software users, develop design documentation, develop web-based, data-driven, C# applications using MVC, MVVM, or other frameworks. Facilitate deployment and maintenance of Web-based applications. Duties include software integration, architecture, software design, development, and testing using current software, database technology and platforms, and provide software quality assurance & maintenance support.
·       Provide System Administration support for SmartSite and OSISoft PI System. This will include interfacing with the vendor for the SmartSite product and integrating new functionality as developed by the Chief Technology Office. Assist in development of new PI tags, PI Process Book screens and custom reports.
·       Support Software test development, and performance, and assist in resolving test exceptions. This will include evaluating Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software and any interfacing instrumentation and devices. Both manual and automated tests are anticipated.

PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications/Skills
·       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related Engineering discipline.
·       2 to 10 years of experience developing integrated software solutions or related experience.
·       Experience in general software engineering, including demonstrated knowledge of the full software development life-cycle and software quality assurance practices.

Desired Qualifications/Skills
·       Experience in SQL, C#, Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server and Microsoft Test Manager.
·       Independently applies engineering techniques and analyses for problems and methods.
·       Significant experience in web application development.
·       Experience with process control systems and Information Technology and Operational Technology Integration.

Site Access/Work Hours
Hanford personnel at the Hanford Site work a standard 4/10 schedule. The standard work week
consist of ten (10) hours of work between 6:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. with one-half hour designated
as an unpaid period for lunch, Monday through Thursday.
