Summer 2020 Wholesale Internship

Wholesale Internship Breakdown – Summer Semester

Oscar de la Renta is searching for interns for our Wholesale RTW department for the summer semester. (End of May – Beginning of August, approximately).  

This internship is for credit only – Interns must be able to earn college/university credit to be eligible.

If you are motivated, enthusiastic and love the fashion industry this will be a great way to learn about the business!

Internship duties:
  • Using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word to create marketing tools in order to assist sales team members and our clients at trunk shows and other various sales team events
  • Assisting during Market Week by running samples between fitting rooms and the showroom, dressing models, and merchandising samples in the showroom
  • Preparing samples to be sent out to trunk shows by properly documenting, tagging, and taking inventory of all samples, as well as packing trunks and ensuring that all other selling tools needed for trunk shows are included
  • Shipping, receiving, and tracking of samples
  • Assisting Account Executives with analyzing weekly selling reports to find our top sellers and lowest sellers 
  • Assisting with photo shoots by preparing samples to be sent to the shoot, creating an inventory of all pieces needed for shoot, and dressing models
  • Merchandising and organizing all samples on racks in the showroom to standards
  • Other general office support as needed

Required Skills:
  • Proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Eager to learn and has a passion for the fashion industry
  • High level of professionalism
  • Some prior internship experience strongly preferred

*Must be able to intern 3+ days a week to be eligible
