Summer Internship - Marketing (1113-2020)

POSITION SUMMARY: NuScale Power recruiting for a paid summer internship opportunity in our Marketing department. The student will be teamed with staff in the department on a rotating basis throughout the summer internship. NuScale Power also hosts a variety of summer events, such as training sessions and brown bag lunches, designed to educate interns about NuScale Power’s product and mission. Only one Intern will be selected and the position will be based in our south suburban Portland, Oregon office. The intern will be asked to attend some meetings and intern events in NuScale Power’s Corvallis office and must have transportation to get to these events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The internship will have the opportunity to work on the following;
•VIDEO/FILM: Assist the Internal design team in creating visual content (videography and photography) for our social media, website, blog posts, and other marketing materials.
•DIGITAL AND PRINT: Support the Internal design team with requests such as layouts for print ads, flyers, data sheets, PowerPoint presentations, and internal brand standards
•SOCIAL/WEB: Create graphics and design layouts for digital ads, email newsletters, the homepage, blog, and social media accounts
•Proficiency in Adobe Premier, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop with Creative Cloud and Microsoft office suite
•Strong understanding of branding, most importantly the role that visual elements play.
•Performs other tasks as assigned.

MINIMUM SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:
•Education: Currently enrolled as a Senior in a Bachelors degree program in Business Administration, Marketing or related field of study. Students pursuing advance degrees will also be considered.
•Experience: ◦Required: History of high academic performance with a GPA of 3.5 or higher
◦Experience with Adobe Suite, specifically Premiere and Photoshop
◦Preferred Experience: 
◦Experience with Lightwave and 3D and other 3D file formats and modeling techniques
◦Experience with use of After Effects for video editing and production with the understanding of live streaming equipment operation    

•Industry Requirements: Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
