The Role
The Legal team provides support to each facet of the Cypress Creek Renewables, LLC organization, with competencies ranging from M&A, complex financings, development, procurement, real estate, construction and general corporate governance. The internship will provide exposure to a wide variety of legal work by affording the candidate the opportunity to both work closely with the company’s attorneys in their day-to-day activities and work independently on long-term assignments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Draft ancillary documents and provide general transactional support to attorneys on M&A and financing transactions
- Organize deal documents and corporate governance documentation
- Perform diligence-related tasks
- Perform research assignments
- Organize in-house knowledge resources
- Work cross-functionally with project development, project finance, EPC and O&M teams
Qualifications
- Current 1st or 2nd year law school student
- Demonstrated interest in renewables sector
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills - both written and oral
- Creative problem-solving
- Highly organized and punctual
- Strong self-starter who is a team player and can work independently
Timing
The position will be available for a 10-week period from May to August. The candidate will be expected to work 40 hours a week.
