The Opportunity
Community Psychiatry is growing rapidly to help address the lack of access to high quality behavioral healthcare for many patients who need it. The Director of Operations will directly oversee local field leadership and work to execute against a plan to stabilize both the team and offices to support an exceptional patient and provider experience, leading to retention of both.
In this role, you’ll…

  • Execute de novo and in-fill plans for new providers in new and existing markets, hit plan
  • Build a strong, stable operations team to support Provider Experience and deliver exceptional customer service to patients
  • Partner with VP of Operations to build operating plan and communicate appropriately to down lane and key cross functional partners: RMDs, Recruiting, HR, Marketing
  • Establish and foster positive working relationships and serve as a liaison between the local operations teams, senior management, and physicians
  • Ensure compliance with Company and government standards and regulations
  • Direct business development efforts, including project management for new endeavors
  • Consult and collaborate with legal counsel regarding viability of business development opportunities; ensure associated legal documents appropriately reflect operations
  • Direct the provision of necessary resources to include facilities, staff, equipment, and supplies
  • Identify key performance requirements for physician productivity
  • Improve operational efficiency by striking a balance between physician productivity measures and community needs
  • Lead efforts related to the creation and implementation of policies and procedures and business assimilation
  • Directly supervise Regional Operations Managers
  • Mentor management team in oversight of the existing day-to-day operations, including conflict resolution for physicians and administrative staff

The right candidate has: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related subjects is required; MBA preferred
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in Healthcare Administration
  • Experience in Operations, Team Building, Practice Management
  • Competence in managing multiple-projects simultaneously with a strong results/goal orientation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills; ability to communicate complex ideas effectively
  • Ability to build strong collaborative working relationships
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, can see hidden problems and looks beyond the obvious for answers
  • Excellent conflict management and negotiation skills – can bring others together and reconcile differences
  • Flexible and able to toggle between multiple projects and priorities. Comfortable with quick changes of plan
  • Inclusive management style – advocate of working as a team player, good player coach, not afraid to roll up sleeves
  • Knowledge of Managed Behavioral Healthcare companies, preferred
  • Proficient in MS office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
