Consultant / Account Manager Associate

Position Overview:

The Consultant position promotes and educates clients on our core services that includes Energy Efficiency/Code Compliance, Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing Engineering, Risk Mitigation, as well as working with utility and above code & Green Programs. During the initial three to six months on the job, there is intense training aimed at learning and understanding the building and construction industry and gathering prospective new account leads. Training will include mentoring by more senior Consultants and the Account Manager, attending Green Building/Energy Efficiency training and certifications and abstract learning. After approximately 3- 6 months, the Consultant will assume more responsibility to include establishing a new client base and account/relationship management. The Consultant develops relationships with local utilities, trade partners and trade associations.

Responsibilities:

·        Operates as the point of contact for assigned customers
·        Develops and maintains long-term relationships with accounts
·        Makes sure clients receive requested products and services in a timely fashion
·        Communicates client needs and demands to employer company
·        Forecasts and tracks client account metrics
·        Manage projects within client relationships, working to carry out client goals while meeting company goals
·        Identifies opportunities to grow business with existing clients
·        Coordinate with staff members working on the same account to ensure consistent service
·        Collaborates with whole team to reach prospective clients
·        Service multiple clients concurrently, often meeting deadlines
·        Attend occasional events and functions during and after work hours
·        Client training and education concerning related fields
·        Work with regulatory agencies
·        Keep records of client transactions


Skills & Experience Required:
·        Bachelor's Degree, some college coursework or trade certificates
·        Three (3) years experience in relevant construction/building field doing project management, construction administration, purchasing, estimating, land development, and HVAC (Green building or energy efficiency preferred)
·        LEED Green Associate (GA) or Accredited Professional (AP) or any type of green building or energy efficiency accolades or certification
·        Experience managing client relationships
·        Possess first class oral & written communication skills
·        Strong written and verbal presentation skills
·        Have an entrepreneurial spirit, and be able to work independently, Self-motivated, organizational skills,
·        Have reliable transportation
·        Ability to conduct research, learn new technologies, and communicate findings orally or in writing
·        Strong in-person presentation skills
