Housekeeper – Grand Lake Lodge

The housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cabins and half-cabins at the Grand Lake Lodge by making sure they meet the housekeeping sanitation requirements. They are also responsible for providing the guest with a welcoming, comfortable environment upon check-in. Duties include, but are not limited to, stripping linens from guest rooms, cleaning the public areas, washing the sheets and terry, and cleaning the guest rooms and bathrooms, while providing excellent customer service to our guests.

The core responsibility of the housekeeper is maintaining the cleanliness of the rooms. A list of specific duties is as follows:

·      Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures

·      Cleaning and sanitizing toilets, showers/bathtubs, countertops, and sinks

·      Making beds and changing linens

·      Vacuuming and cleaning carpets and rugs

·      Sweeping/vacuuming, polishing, and mopping hard floors

·      Sorting, washing, loading, and unloading laundry

·      Keeping bathrooms stocked with clean linens, toiletries, and other supplies

·      Cleaning mirrors and other glass surfaces

·      Emptying trash receptacles and disposing of waste

·      Washing blinds

·      Tidying up rooms

·      Reporting any necessary repairs or replacements

·      Dependable, punctual

·      Accurate, attention to detail, service oriented

·      Strong organizational skills

·      Positive attitude, strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills

·      Able to work independently and in a team environment

·      Should be able to communicate effectively

·      Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
