Applications Engineer

InfinityQS is seeking an Applications Engineer to join our Engineering Services team and support our clients. This position requires extensive travel and the ability to work from a home office in between travel to clients. Please see below for full job duties and qualifications!

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Proactively identify and support clients’ needs by:
  • Understanding client's quality goals.
  • Prescribing best practices for meeting clients’ goals.
  • Performing software implementations and deployments.
  • Performing other related consulting services.
  • Provide services both on-site and remote.
  • Teach in-house/remote training classes and at client sites.
  • Travel to client sites, which can include extended periods of time, including over several weekends and international travel.
  • Support sales efforts by participating in sales calls, on-site visits, and performing product demonstrations.
  • Generate and complete Statements of Work (SOWs)
  • Strive to exceed client expectations for all client engagements.
  • Represent InfinityQS with a positive and professional demeanor, especially when interacting with InfinityQS clients.
  • Provide detailed documentation of client visits.
  • Escalate client issues as needed.
  • Develop training course material or provide recommendations to material as needed.
  • Test new versions, builds, and patches of InfinityQS software and document findings.
  • Answer technical support calls as needed to support Technical Support team.
  • Assist with software testing and validation.
  • Develop technical documentation to be used in client-facing and internal knowledge bases and support development of other knowledge resources.
  • Write industry articles and blogs.
  • Submit product change requests.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with InfinityQS employees and clients.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • H.S. Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or similar field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in additional languages a plus.
  • Able to articulate complex technical concepts in understandable terms.
  • Able to perform self-directed work and learning.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and troubleshoot issues with critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Internet, and basic office equipment.
  • Highly self-motivated and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with varying deadlines.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment while balancing both strategic and tactical responsibilities.
  • Team player; motivated to achieve personal, team and company goals.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Able to present a professional and positive demeanor with internal and external customers/clients and work cooperatively.
  • Exceptional reliability. 
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow up skills.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality of company and client information.
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally up to 90%, including over weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time.
  • Able to successfully pass a credit, criminal, and employment reference background check.
