Intern - Research & Development Engineer - Colorado Springs, CO - Summer 2021

Are you interested in an Intern/Coop opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) and/or graduate (MS) degree to participate in 3-month paid intern opportunities at our site in Colorado Springs. Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience in engineering for a HealthTech company.

In this role, you have the opportunity to
Join Philips Image Guided Therapy (IGT), a medical device manufacturer offering healthcare solutions in the field of cardiovascular imaging and interventional hemodynamics. The Regulatory Affairs Intern performs specific regulatory tasks in support of a regulatory filing or department project with direct support from management or more senior regulatory affairs specialists.

You are responsible for
· Design and build prototypes and processes for new product development
· Work with R&D management and project team members to design and implement research and product development program plans.
· Support the design and execution of experimental plans and interpretation of data from the testing.
· Documenting and reporting of design and development work.
· Work with project teams to transfer processes to manufacturing.
· Develop plans for research projects or product development programs in conjunction with the project team.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
· Working towards a Bachelor's Degree Engineering, Chemistry, Biology or related field required.
· Experience with CAD and prototyping techniques.
· Experience with data analysis and software (Excel)
· Knowledge of safe laboratory practices
