Full Stack Developer

We are seeking a Software Engineer to help build the next generation web platform using modern, cutting edge technologies. This involves using Scala and Spark on top of the AWS infrastructure to feed into multiple databases. We manage the application lifecycle through frameworks like Spring Boot and systems like Jenkins. The Scrum team adheres to Agile methodology including sprint Planning / reviews / groomings / retrospectives and daily standups.

  • Follows best practices in extract, transform, & load pipeline creation
  • Updates documentation on internal wiki for technical communication
  • Participates in code reviews and design sessions during Agile process
  • Debugs, evaluates, and troubleshoots throughout application development process
  • Maintain and operate continuous build, test, and integration pipelines
  • Develop thorough understanding of technologies used and demonstrate archetypical patterns for their use
Skills & Requirements
  • 3+ years of development experience on a dynamic, interactive Agile team to contributing to all parts of a modern project
  • Extensive experience with Scala/Java
  • Extensive experience with Spring Boot
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively on a complex system
  • Experience with both SQL and NoSQL desired
  • Ability to work with and coordinate with other developers using digital tools such as Slack, Gmail, and Atlassian’s suite of products (JIRA, Bitbucket)
  • Experience with version control tools, such as Git
  • Experience working in Linux
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Desire to stay up to date with modern techniques and evolving technologies
