Banking, Credit, and Operational Risk Summer Intern

The Policy Research and Analytics - Banking, Credit, and Operational Risk section provides quantitative risk and banking expertise to S&R's policy and supervisory efforts. Through quantitative evaluation, we i) guide and support proposed rule-makings, ii) ensure proper implementation of existing rules in banking institutions, and iii) monitor regulatory policy effectiveness.
The intern will work on various data collections from supervised banks. They may access databases using SQL, update or create new data quality rules, and test various data processes. The interns may also develop new processes for analyzing financial data, document processes for the data, or otherwise analyze data under the direction of permanent staff. Programming skills in SQL, R, or Python are desired.
Over the course of the internship, the student will:
• Improve upon written and presentation skills
• Improve upon analytical skills
• Contribute to technical solution development

Minimum level of Education Desired: College Junior
