Intern - Quality Assurance Engineer - Summer 2021

Job Summary
Lumen’s internship program is a 10 week, fast-paced and exciting opportunity to gain professional experience within your field of study and career interest. Interns within the Strategic Planning and Transformation organization will be part of an accelerated learning experience, to challenge skills learned in the classroom and develop new skills while working on active Lumen work projects. Quality Assurance Engineer interns will have the potential to use automation and agile methodologies to provide functional, regression, sanity and integration testing, defect tracking and resolution; and assistance for User Acceptance Testing. The internship will take place in Littleton, CO from 6/1/2021 - 8/13/2021.

Job Description
-   Analyze new features to the product based on functional and design specifications, recommending appropriate test strategies 
-   Creation of Functional / End to End / Solution Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Reports utilized by local, remote, external, and offshore testing teams 
-   Design and implementation of test automation to independently test product components utilizing Automation tools like Parasoft SOATest, Selenium, UFT, Postman, etc., 
-   Drive product testability into product requirements
 
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
-   Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university
-   Graduating between August 2021 – May 2023
-   In pursuit of bachelor’s or master’s in computer science or related degree program 
-   Intern is responsible for their travel to/from work location
-   Must be available to work 30 – 40 hours, during the specified 10-week timeframe
-   Development/scripting experience in Java, Python, Perl, Unix, .net 

Preferred Qualifications:
-   Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher 
-   Experience using Test Automation tools (Parasoft SOATest, Selenium, UFT, Postman) 
-   Understanding of agile methodology
-   Experience in or exposure to quality assurance
-   Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
-   Ability to demonstrate ownership and accountability
-   Ability to collaborate and have agility while making effective decisions
-   Flexible and adapts well to change
