Damage Mechanism of Action - PhD Intern

Begin a meaningful career right here.

In this role you will develop an understanding of the key drivers of the wide range of surface deposition profiles seen in our consumer studies. Initial work would be to identify the right methods to understand the hair surface and how to test hypotheses of surface property vs perception correlations. The work would involve both lab testing of controlled substrates and sampling of consumer hair. The hair surface methodology would involve measurements of amount of deposit, morphology of deposits, surface energy and ‘chemistry’. Once data has been collected and analyzed a model of drivers of deposition variability would be proposed and how this variability in deposition and underlying hair property characteristics is driving consumer perception of hair health and conditioning performance. A stretch objective of the assignment would be to recommend possible new strategies to drive superior conditioning performance and identify new conditioning actives.
