IT RDM Chromatography Systems Summer Intern

Description:
Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Intern to join our IT RDM Chromatography Services department located at our Ridgefield, Connecticut facility. As an Intern, you will work closely with international colleagues to deploy and support global enterprise laboratory systems such as BIChrom (Waters Empower) and Akta/Unicorn.

Duties & Responsibilities:
·      Train on working within the laboratory environment
  • Plan and organize small sized projects to automate and streamline system support activities
  • Work together with IT team colleagues and laboratory scientists to support BI chromatography systems
  • Perform research on digital initiatives, which may help to realize efficiencies and cost reduction in the laboratory environment
Requirements:
Must be an Undergraduate, Graduate, or Professional Student in good academic standing.
Must have completed 12 credit hours within a related major and/or other related coursework.
Overall, cumulative GPA (from last completed quarter) must be at least 3.000 (on 4.0 scale) or better (No rounding up).
Major must be related to the field of internship.
Desired Experience, Skills and Abilities:
  • Undergraduate Studies in Information Technology (IT) and/or Life Sciences
  • Fluent in English and in German with strong communications skills
  • Highly motivated individual with good team spirit
  • Previous IT and/or scientific experience is a plus 
Eligibility Requirements:
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
Must be 18 years of age or older
