Pool - K-6 Licensed Educators

The School District of New Berlin is starting a pool of outstanding, engaging and innovative K-6 educators who would be interested in joining our school community for the 20-21 school year starting in January 2021. The individuals would be hired as a limited term employee just for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year. Must have or have the ability to obtain a Wisconsin DPI license in K-6 by January. Recent graduates are welcome to apply who cannot apply for their license because of testing restrictions as a result of COVID. Please note that we do not have any openings at this time except what is posted.

Candidate must demonstrate consistent proficiency in components assigned under:

Domain 1: Planning and Preparation

Domain 2: Classroom Environment

Domain 3: Instruction

Domain 4: Professional Responsibilities

Including, but not limited to: 

•Develop lesson plans and instructional materials to provide individualized and small group instruction by adapting the district-approved curriculum to the needs of each pupil while maintaining high expectations

•Establish and maintain rapport with pupils to ensure an effective learning atmosphere

•Provide specific timely feedback to students 

•Communicate expectations clearly to students and parents

•Effectively communicate with parents in various ways (i.e. website, newsletters, phone calls, e-mails, conferences)

•Work in a supportive and collaborative manner with colleagues 

•To be a part of a collaborative team to analyze and respond to data
