NAVFAC SW

Professional Development Center (PDC) Planner


Interns are available for the Asset Management department for NAVFAC SW available on a first-come-first-served basis. To qualify, you must have a vacant billet expected in the month/year of the intern's "graduation" after 2-3 years.

Qualifying degrees include:
  • urban affairs
  • architecture
  • landscape architecture
  • engineering
  • sociology
  • geography
  • economics
  • political science,
  • or public administration that included at least 12 semester hours in the planning process, socioeconomic and physical elements of planning, urban and regional economic analysis, and development finance.

Requirements:
1. Resume
2. Unofficial transcript (HR will ask for official later)
3. US Citizenship required!
4. Populate the following information into COVER LETTER:

Brief narrative detailing why the candidate is the best qualified
(example template):
Candidate graduated in [month, year] with [and honor's list] [bachelor's]
degree in ______ , [master's] degree in ______ [and relevant minor in
______]; with professional experience in [architectural / facility plans],
[design development], [schematic design], [construction documents], [client
coordination]
and [relevant computer software competency such as ____]. Other

- Grade Level Request:
[For GS-5 starting grade (3-year program), he/she holds a bachelor's with
LESS than a 2.95 GPA]
 [For GS-7 starting grade (3-year program), he/she holds a bachelor's with
minimum 2.95 GPA] 
[For GS-9 starting grade (2-year program), he/she holds a master's degree
and 1 year specialized experience to the GS-7 level]
