Certified Industrial Hygienist Senior Program Manager

Mayvin is currently seeking a Certified Industrial Hygienist Senior Program Manager to provide expert consultation to the US Marshals as it relates to OSHA, EPA, GSA, Life Safety Code, industry consensus standards, and best practices. Assist the managers of the US Marshals HQ Divisions program by providing management, oversight and direction for planned and ongoing projects to help insure the efficient operations of projects for the US Marshals.
 
Must be a US Citizen
Must have an active Top Secret clearance


Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to the following:
  • Design, manage, and conduct industrial hygiene field studies related to worker exposures, including, but not limited to, air and noise sampling, area noise, illumination, drinking water sampling, ventilation surveys, indoor air quality, asbestos, lead inside detention facilities or office spaces.
  • Operate and maintain instruments including sampling pumps, calibrators, noise dosimeters, sound level meters, and direct reading gas meters. Following the samplings, complete data sheets, chain of custody forms, and prepare samples for shipment to laboratory.
  • Prepare and present reports which include analysis of industrial hygiene data, regulatory requirements, data tables, drawings and recommendations. Reports must be technically accurate, grammatically correct, and appropriate for intended audience.
  • Conduct on-site detailed inspections, before USMS occupies a space, and during and/or after construction to ensure that industrial hygienist considerations conform to USMS design standards and approved plans.
  • As needed, represent USMS in space management and construction activity meetings with OCM, GSA, AOUSC, federal judges and other government agencies.
  • Write statement of work, standard operating procedures and policies related to occupational safety and health.
  • Teach and monitor the execution of government employees’ safety and health training.
  • Identifies changing trends and technology impacting specific recommendations for USMS Special Purpose and Support Space Requirements.
  • Manages the maintenance, cleanup, design, reconstruction and construction of the all agency Indoor Firing Range (IFR) ventilation system. Prepare Statement of Work and contract packages for the USMS IFR cleanup and maintenance activities.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets and resource allocation to ensure all contract requirements are fulfilled.
  • Compose Weekly Activity Reports summarizing projects and activities status.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • Certified Industrial Hygienist or Certified Safety Professional (Preferred)
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field of study.
  • Nine years of specialized experience that is related to the duties described. Experience may be substituted for the next highest degree (e.g., from an associates degree to a bachelor's degree).
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and GSA regulations
  • Superior time management, organization and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationship with internal employees as well as outside sources.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exhibit a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to quickly and effectively adapt to change.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
