Business Process - Product Lifecycle Process Summer Intern

About our group:

The Business Process – Product Lifecycle Process (PLCP) team resides within the Product Development Group (PDG) Engineering Organization. This group supports the product development processes for the design teams within HDD, SSD and EDS located in Colorado, Minnesota and Singapore. The Business Process Group ensures that all required life cycle flows and processes are well defined and understood. This includes product definition, roadmap structure, resource alignment and core team adherence to design development from start to finish.


About the role - you will:

  • Assist with process improvement projects and updating process documentation
  • Develop training materials including work instructions and Brainsharks
  • Serve as a PLCP representative to the core teams
  • Develop reports to support the management and engineering teams including conducting analysis of product data vs development process expectations
  • Share new ideas or tools for improved process efficiency and automation
  • Create a product lifecycle dashboard
  • Conduct research on best in class (BIC) practices and present findings

About you:

  • You can manage multiple tasks concurrently and open/flexible to changing direction.
  • You can work and communicate effectively with a diverse group of colleagues.
  • You are a self-motivated worker.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • You are detailed oriented.

Your experience includes:

  • Project management skills
  • Process improvement skills including Agile and Lean methodologies
  • Technically savvy with advanced skills in MS Office products
  • Excellent problem solver, communicator, and collaborator
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or other related degree and enrolled in Fall 2021 courses.
