Intern - SaaS Research Engineer

Your Career
We are looking for a motivated, intelligent, hardworking and creative intern to join the SaaS Security team as a SaaS Research Engineer. As a Security Research Engineer, you will be part of a team that researches on network traffic to identify signatures of SaaS Applications and help identify all Security compliance attributes for those SaaS applications. You will be applying your network knowledge on our SaaS security product to build SaaS Signatures at scale and help build various analytics on SaaS usages. You will be working on our SaaS Security Engineering and Research team who builds automated systems, writes signatures to detect SaaS application usage and help build compliance attributes for these applications.

Your Impact
 
  • Build and Review SaaS applications signatures and help us validate / improve them on a volume basis to increase coverage on the number of supported applications.
  • Ensure our applications' signatures are of highest quality to maintain very high customer satisfaction.
  • Automated repeatable processes to make impact on a very large volume of application signatures.

Your Experience
 
Required
  • Experience with Python.
  • Currently enrolled in a 4-year Undergraduate Degree, 2-year Master's Degree,, or Doctorate degree program and returning to school in the fall.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred
  • Knowledge of L7 networking and information on how to interpret network traffic headers.
  • Familiarity with Java., AWS, and/or GCP.
  • Experience with other Basic understanding of common network protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP and FTP.
  • Experience in analyzing SaaS applications looking at network traffic to identify anomaly / security issues.
  • Experience with tools like Wireshark.
  • Experience with Fiddler Proxy.

Requirements – To apply, you must be pursuing a 4-year Undergraduate Degree, a 2-year Master’s Degree or a Doctorate degree and returning to school in the fall. You must have the authorization to work within the United States.
