Summer Nursing Assistant

Camp Kamaji's Health Center, Club Med, is a busy place with campers and staff passing in and out several times a day, seven days a week. We have two health "checks" each day. The camp doctor relies on the nursing assistants to provide him/her with a profile of the campers and staff. A nursing assistant tends to the health concerns of a sick camper—from taking her temp to cleaning out cuts and, under the on-site physician's directive, OTC meds, from reading bedtime stories to providing heaps of TLC. The nursing assistant would also assist the physician at all health calls and be on-call at Club Med in case of emergency. 

Students will treat both campers and staff members under the supervision of a physician. Nursing Assistants are responsible for performing health screenings, treating injuries, and communicating clearly with the Club Med team. Applicant must be a current 3rd or 4th year Nursing Student (during the 2020/2021 academic year) in a CCNE Accredited Baccalaureate Nursing Degree Program.

Position includes room & board and a travel stipend in addition to salary.
